Rage 2

Bethesda’s RAGE 2 gameplay trailer looks insanely fun!

Well, This Guy never thought he’d be saying this, but the sequel to Rage looks fucking awesome! Bethesda has been teasing Rage 2 with a series of not-so-cryptic tweets over the last couple weeks.

The original Rage had a lot of fans in its day. It had solid gamplay, with fun combat, and solid graphics for its time. The only real detraction was the lackluster story, and the incredibly abrupt ending (with no post-game content). So of course, it came and went, and most people just sort of forgot about it. it wasn’t a game that seemed like it needed a or deserved a follow up after such a rush job on the final product. But alas, 7 years later, here we are.

The announcement was made official yesterday with the release of this stylish cinematic teaser. What looks like a mashup between Mad Max, Borderlands, and Sunset Overdrive should have just about anyone hyped. Rage 2 looks like Bethesda has opted for a bit of a soft reboot, with a very different tone than the original.

Of course, the teaser had no semblance of gameplay, and a rather frantic tone, which can be worrisome. But never fear, Bethesda has us covered. Today they dropped the full gameplay trailer for all of us to stare slack-jawed at. It. Looks. AWESOME! And that frantic tone makes even more sense, with a few little hints of Bethesda’s Doom reboot sprinkled in for good measure. This really may be the amazing sequel we never knew we wanted until now.

Now the question is, why did bethesda opt to release this trailer now, instead of at E3. They did claim this E3 would be their longest presentation yet. Is it possible some other, hugE franchiSe going to take up a Very large chunk of that tIme?

This Guy

Who likes movies? This Guy! Who has way too much to say, and lacks the mental focus, or appropriate filters necessary to express himself in an acceptable fashion? This guy! Oh, and something about two thumbs.
