Rockstar, don’t you dare mess this up. We’ve been waiting years for a follow up to the masterpiece Red Dead Redemption, and if all goes well, we’re just a few short months away from that becoming a reality! Red Dead Redemption 2 will take place mainly in 1899 (12 years prior to the previous game), and Rockstar just dropped a new trailer for what is sure to be one of the most anticipated games of 2018!

Red Dead Redemption was the sequel to Red Dead Revolver, and followed John Marston in 1911, as he was forced by the US government to hunt down his old gang of outlaws, in return for some peace and quiet. His adventure led him throughout the south, and even into Mexico in his quest to give his family the good life they deserve. The game was a hit, and is still considered one of Rockstar’s best.

The trailer for RDR2 boasts the same beautiful open world we’ve expected, promising to be bigger and more lush than its predecessor, and the same great Old West atmosphere. Gun fighting, horse riding, robbing folk, and sleeping rough,. All in a day’s work for these cowboys. Personally This Guy hopes you can still tie people up and leave them on the train tracks, dastardly villain style! We shall see.

Side note, keep an eye out in the trailer for an old friend. SPOILER ALERT! Yes, at 1:40 into the video that appears to be none other than a young JOHN MARSTON! Freshly scarred and already in deep trouble. Maybe we’ll get a good look into what led to his break with Dutch’s gang. Either way, get hype. Stay hype. Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming!
